Set up a back in stock flow

  1. Navigate to the Flows tab in Klaviyo: You can find it on the navigation bar, which is the first step whether you're using pre-built flows or starting a flow from scratch.

  2. Choose how to create your flow: You can select "Create Flow" or "Browse Ideas" to go directly to the library and use a pre-built "Back in Stock" flow. Alternatively, start creating a flow from scratch by clicking "Create Flow" and naming it.

  3. Finding the pre-built "Back in Stock" flow: In the flow library, use the filtering function or search by typing "back in stock" to quickly find available flows focused on notifications for product restocks.

  4. Setting up the flow trigger: Whether using a pre-built flow or creating a new one, choose "Takes an Action" as the trigger and from the dropdown menu select the metric "Subscribed to Back in Stock". Do not add any trigger or flow filters.

  5. Adding a "Back in Stock" delay: Directly after the trigger, add a "Back in Stock" delay component. Participants in the flow will wait here until their product is restocked.

  6. Configuring the message: Typically, only one message is needed in the flow to inform that the product is back in stock. If you are creating the flow from scratch, ensure you turn off the Smart Sending option for this message so that all subscribers receive the notification.

  7. Customizing content to fit your brand: After adding a flow from the library, it's recommended to review and adjust the content of emails and templates to match your brand.
